We visited again at Alterrundan Winter Rally that has been drived since 1970's at Sweden.

JAMES DEAN RUN 2010 PROJECTS

Two of mercuryman's cars are going to Fairmount to James Dean Run in 2010.
Cars are shipped to Houston from Finland in the beginning of July. Project is followed in here

  • 11:30 Yhteislähtö Jyväskylästä Palokan ABCn pihalta
  • 12:00 Saarijärven suunnasta ja pohjoisesta tulevat samoin kuin JKL porukka kokoontuu Hirvaskankaan ABCn pihalle klo 12:00
  • 12:30 Suolahteen K-Kauppa Suosikkiin, jossa kahvia ym. hyvää, autot parkkiin reiluksi tunniksi.
  • 14:30 Sumiaisiin jossa halukkaat voi pistäytyä mm. markkinoilla
  • Perillä Rautionmäellä ilmoittautuneille ruokailu ja iltabileet

    Orginal Mercury 1939 and Edsel Wagon 1959 were both in top 3 at their category.

    MERCURY 70 YEARS - PLANNED FOR PEOPLE

    We were at freetime exhibition at Jyvaskyla's Paviljonki last weekend as part of SA-HK (Finnish Automobile - Historic Club) department
    We had following cars in there:
    -Mercury Monterey Cruiser 4d HT 1959
    -Mercury Marauder X100 1970
    Third, but not least Mercury was Pekka's Mercury Sedan 1939 (original condition)

    FINNISH OPERATION: SAVE THE MERCURY - 1939

    Couple of Mercurymans friends found Mercury - 1939 from woods and wanted to save it.
    This Mercury is one of the cars that US goverment donated to Finnish goverment,
    when Finland was at war against to Russians.

    Mercury Marquis arrives finally to Finland from it's long trip, which started from St. Louis USA over a month earlier.
    IMOA (International Mercury Owner's Association) made a story of that to their Quicksilver magazine.
